🌱 About C & S Country Gardens

C & S Country Gardens is a proud family-owned business rooted in the heart of Lorette, Manitoba. Since opening our doors in the spring of 1991, we've grown from humble beginnings into a trusted destination for gardeners across the region.

Our journey began as C & S Garden Centre, operating from a modest 100-square-foot wooden-frame greenhouse on a small residential lot. With the unwavering support of our neighbours, friends, and family, we cultivated not just plants—but a community.

In 1995, we relocated to our current site, which started as a bare farmer’s field. Over the years, we’ve transformed it into a vibrant garden center, adding greenhouses, display areas, and ample parking to better serve our customers.

🌿 Locally Grown, Sustainably Raised We take pride in growing all our annuals, herbs, hanging baskets, and specialty plants right here on-site. Our production methods reflect our commitment to sustainability, using organic fertilizers, integrated pest management, and energy-efficient technologies to nurture healthy, resilient plants.

Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, C & S Country Gardens is here to help you grow—with expert advice, quality plants, and a warm Manitoba welcome.

Susan is the eldest of six children. She was raised on a farm in central Manitoba and was quick to develop leadership skills and a resourceful nature.  She had a long successful career in the nursing field.  On spring and summer weekends, she and her young son Chris would visit local greenhouses. Thus began a keen interest in the garden industry for them both.

Alex was born and raised in south-central Manitoba. He always dreamed of life in a rural setting, in harmony with nature. Some of his best memories are long days on the tractor tilling the fields or harvesting the expansive vegetable garden with his grandson. Alex and his wife Susan enjoy their home situated right beside their son Chris’ family.
