Ornamental Features: Courageous Flowering Crab is blanketed in stunning clusters of fragrant pink flowers with white overtones along the branches in mid spring, which emerge from distinctive red flower buds before the leaves. It has dark green foliage which emerges coppery-bronze in spring. The pointy leaves turn yellow in fall. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.
Landscape Attributes: Courageous Flowering Crab is a dense deciduous tree with a shapely oval form. Its average texture blends into the landscape, but can be balanced by one or two finer or coarser trees or shrubs for an effective composition.
This tree will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. It has no significant negative characteristics.
